The early church is our guide to what to do or expect during a economic recession, I find it interesting enough the more we gain materialistically ,the harder it is for most to give. The early church grew to know the importance of taking care of the flock, without belonging to any political organization. My favorite passage of the bible is when the Lord tells Peter several times, feed my sheep” of course it more than likely meant spiritually; however to feed one’s spirit may mean to feed the needs of the physical body as well.
